Fun Halloween Craft

Since Halloween is just around the corner, I decided this week to try a Halloween Craft.  I originally saw this on Pinterest and thought it was a cute idea.  You will need the following items:

  • Small Pie Pumpkins (however many you want to do)
  • Gauze or bandage in a roll
  • Glue (I use FabriTac – best glue ever!)
  • Sharpies
  • Scissors
  • Googly Eyes (I got mine at Hobby Lobby)

Take a pumpkin and place end of gauze roll on the back of the pumpkin and glue it in place.  FabriTac sticks really fast so you don’t have to hold it for very long.  Then start wrapping the gauze one time around.  When you get back around to the front, stop and glue the googly eyes in place.  Continue wrapping the pumpkin once the eyes are in place.  Cover them just slightly and glue your end in place at the back.  I was able to do the two pumpkins with one box of gauze bandage.  It’s a fun and fast craft…it barely took me ten minutes to do.  If you want, you can also use a black sharpie to draw a mouth either on the pumpkin before you start wrapping, or draw it on the gauze after you have placed the eyes. I have also read people use black construction paper for a mouth as well.  Whatever works for you.

You can’t really go wrong!  These are going to my office at work!
